Never wrote a song
So? I never practiced RIPS either (rectally inserted popsicle sticks). It's the paradox of unbridled imagination - - like the notion you can't get there from here. Here's the version from the ceiling-based revelation gathered earlier in the week:
On the stage among the actors are holograms of Candy Barr, Sessue Hayakawa and The Rogers, Roy and Mimi all gathered around a Lincoln convertible projecting lines from Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf? It's fallout from dwelling on the unwritten song - -who really cares?
So, my TH-less dream last night featured the Roms, a stupendous red outfit and the drive to the Fleetwood Mac show where I rambled at length about Christine and Stevie. No, it's not abandoning reality - -it's being in the right place with the right person when the fit hits the shan. We seem to plead for stability in a crisis but instead of luxuriating in it, we let the imagination go off-track. Not me, buddy.
